We recommend that your alarm system have a full function test at least once a year.  This includes verifying that all devices are working properly and are sending the proper signals to the central station.  It is also recommended that you clean your smoke detectors out once a year.  If you are attempting either of these actions, call our office (928-522-8516) or the central station (800-525-4829) to put your account on test.

When a smoke detector is beeping, it is usually a sign that the 9 volt battery needs to be replaced.  These smoke detectors are not part of your alarm system.  They are 110 volt smoke detectors that were probably installed when your home was built.  We recommend that these batteries be replaced at least once a year and cleaned for proper performance.

How Do I Reset My Panel?

Posted by Gary Gagna on October 24, 2012 at 12:40 AM Comments comments (0)

Often after a false alarm, the panel needs to be reset.  This can be done on most panels by putting in your user code and then hitting the off button. Repeat this action twice and you should hear the panel beep.  Doing so will clear the alarm memory.  You may also perform this action to clear the panel after a battery is replaced in one of your devices (smoke detector, motion detector, etc.) or to stop an alarm from sounding.
